, In your book Tracing your rootes the part about more datails on marriage cetificates, you state if a couple were under age the marriage could be classed as illegal..I have 2 Marriage certs for my GG grandmother, 1st in 1894 she describes herself of full age ..She lied She was 18 and it was a church wedding.In 1897 she married at a registary office and her age was 21.Her father was at the 2nd wedding but not the first..She says she was a spinster and her husband was a batchelor on this 2nd wedding..Is it possible the first marriage was Annulled. Is it possible to find this out. What are your views on these 2 weddings..Many thanks Roy Mcknight
