Hello Diane,

I live on the wirral and am currently researching my family tree (JOHNSON). To date I have managed to go back to 1807 when the JOHNSONS lived on the wirral. My dilemma now is that I have tracked a WILLIAM JOHNSON born in 1785 & married HANNAH HARRISON in 1807 at St.Peter's Church in Liverpool. I know they moved to wirral shortly after as I have tracked them in the local church records. I am fairly confident these are my relatives. Williams parents were William (A porter by occupation) & Mary and they lived in Grayson Street when there son William (my gt.gt,gt,gt granddad) was born in 1785 (found this is the archives in Liverpool Central Library). How do I know track William & Mary to confirm their link to me? My conclusion is the Johnsons have lived on the Wirral from about 1807 to date but where and when (I wonder) did they come from in the late 1700's ? Where William & Mary local's to Liverpool or were they from furth!

er a field? If you can guide me Diane I would be so pleased. Or maybe you can give me some guidance as to the 'next step'.

Thank you and regards

Dave Johnson

ps; your family history is so fascinating - well done !
